Utah Ski and Snowboard Resort Closing Dates 2024

Utah Ski and Snowboard Resort Closing Dates 2024

Here Are the Utah Ski Resort Closing Dates For 2024.

Utah had a little bit of a slow start to the 2024 ski season but we are officially over 95% of the Utah average snowfall for the season and there is still plenty of time left. This season was a great one with good coverage that stuck around. We had a few wind storms that exposed some steeper slopes for a few days but the late season storms gave us more that we could have hoped for and all in all, the season has been great! Early on, when we released the Utah Ski Resort Opening Date blog, we were saddened to announce that many runs were closed off due to the lack of snow. When we went out for Christmas break, I vividly remember hearing boots clunking across the parking lots because of how little snow was on the ground. After Christmas, the skies opened up and the snow fell! We quickly caught up to the Utah normal and the skiing has been amazing since then! So many bluebird days with consistent fresh powder coverage and a healthy base. There is plenty of season left but you will have to plan accordingly if you want to take advantage of it. Pay close attention, grab a pen and paper and take note of the Utah Ski and Snowboard Resort closing dates for 2024.

Let's make the most out of the 2024 and get out on these warm and perfect bluebird days. This last weekend Alta saw almost 3 feet of fresh snow! The skiing seems to be getting better and better and the resorts have started to extend their closing dates. Here are the most current Utah Ski Resort Closing dates for 2024 as of right now. We will continue to update these dates as they change.

Utah Ski and Snowboard Resort Closing Dates 2024

Alta Ski Area – 4/21/24 Alta is scheduled to close April 21, 2024. Alta Ski Resort currently has a base of 166" with a season total of 537".

Beaver Mountain – 4/7/24 Beaver Mountain is scheduled to close April 7th, 2024 with a current base of 78".

Brian Head Resort –5/5/24 Brian Head Resort is scheduled to close on May 5th! These late season storms are keeping Brian Head open with 246" of snow recorded for the season. The extended closing date is good news for all!

Brighton Resort – 5/19/24 Brighton just extended its closing date to May 19th! Talk about some warm weather skiing and snowboarding. This is going to be a blast.

Cherry Peak Resort – 4/7/24 Cherry Peak is scheduled to close April 7th 2024. Cherry Peak is currently offering an early bird discount on next year's season passes too if you're looking to save some money and get ready for next season.

Deer Valley Resort – 4/21/24 Deer Valley extended its closing date for the second time in history! Deer Valley will be closing the season on April 21st, 2024. Don't miss the closing celebration! Take advantage of The Après Ski Guide for Park City on closing day for the best celebration!

Eagle Point Resort – 4/7/24 Eagle Point is scheduled to close on April 7th for the 2023-24 ski season with a current base of 72".

Nordic ValleyCLOSED Nordic Valley was closed due to a fire for the 2023-24 ski season however they have announced they will be open for the 24-25 season! Nordic Valley Ski Passes are on sale now so come support this iconic mountain resort and get ready for an updated experience!

Park City Mountain – 4/22/24 Park City Mountain Resort has extended its closing date to April 22nd! Take advantage of the late season experience! Also take advantage of the few remaining ski storage lockers at the base of PCMR. Secure your storage locker for next year by following this link to The Ridge Club Ski and Snowboard Storage Lockers.

Powder Mountain – 4/7/24 Powder Mountain is scheduled to close on April 7th for the 2023/24 season. Night skiing closes March 31st so make a note and get it while you can!

Snowbasin Resort – 4/14/24 Snowbasin Ski Resort extended its closing date from April 14 to Sunday April 28th pending conditions. With this week dumping on us, I don't think April 28th will be a problem for Snowbasin.

Snowbird – 4/26/24 In order to accommodate road clearing and springtime events and summertime construction, Snowbird will be closing part of the mountain (lower Gad terrain) April 14th but plans to keep the rest of the mountain open until Memorial Day Weekend which would be May 25/26th! Snowbird currently has a season total of 481" with a depth of 131" and more in the forecast.

Solitude Mountain Resort – 5/12/24 Solitude has yet to announce the official closing date which means they want to push it as long as they can this season! They will be open daily until at least May 12th as of right now and recent storms and upcoming conditions may extend that date.

Sundance Mountain Resort – 4/7/24 Sundance is ready for springtime in the mountains and has announced a closing date of April 7th, 2024.

Woodward Park City – TBD Woodward has yet to announce their closing date but last season, 2022/2023, they celebrated a "closing day" on April 30th. We can expect at least that at Woodward. I would take a bet that the date actually pushes into May depending on these late season conditions.

Utah Ski and Snowboard Resort Closing Dates Keep Extending in 2024

We had a little bit of a slow start to the 2023/24 ski and snowboard season here in Utah but we sure are going out with a bang. Current Utah snowpack is sitting in the 110%-129% range for the year which is amazing. We had a world-record season last year so it feels good knowing we are following it with another strong year. A good snowfall makes for a good spring and summer in Utah. Don't let the team at Railton North + Co. fool you though, we're still here for the skiing and plan on skiing until the last second of the last day. Keep extending the season and keep the snow coming Utah! It's why we're here.
