Here are the best things to do in Park City for New Year's Eve

Deer Valley Ski Resort celebrates the New Year on December 30 with a traditional torchlight parade. Guests should arrive to Deer Valley at 5:30pm (dusk) to enjoy complimentary hot chocolate, cider, and cookies at the Snow Park Plaza to watch skiers ski down Big Stick ski run on Bald Mountain and create an amazing torch light parade. Hundreds of skiers line up at the top of the mountain and light bright torches. They form a long red snake down the run and it is truly a sight to behold. You won’t want to miss this old tradition…there’s a reason why we do it every year! This event goes until 7:30pm

From there, head over to Park City Mountain Resort and the Canyons Ski Resort where guests celebrate with a FREE family style party at the Canyons Village on 10/30 as well. Starting at 3:00pm guests can ski into the party to enjoy live music, sweet treats, warm drinks, fire pits and fireworks starting at 7:30pm. Complimentary cookies and hot chocolate will be served while supplies lasts and the Coverdogs will be playing dance floor favorites to boogie down to.

For The Livelier Bunch Looking to Celebrate New Year’s Eve In Park City

If you have a livelier group of friends that are looking to get out and about on Historic Main Street, you will have many choices to choose from. For the music loving crowd, Park City has two well-known venues who are going to bring in some great talent. O.P. Rockwell Cocktail Lounge and Music Hall and Park City Live are both located on Historic Main Street. These venues bring in the crowds and know how to party like it’s 1999! Both venues are 21 and older and serve craft beer, wine, and cocktails

Unique ways to celebrate New Year’s Eve in Park City

Looking to celebrate New Year’s in style?  Deer Valley’s Cast and Cut is hosting an event you won’t forget. The high-end restaurant will serve dinner paired with dancing afterward to music by The Spazmatics. If you’ve never seen the Spazmatics live, you are in for a treat! They happen to be one of our favorite bands to dance to. The event starts at 6pm. Dancing starts at 8:30 and ends at 1am. You can join either, dinner & dancing, lounge and dancing or just dancing. Each are offered at a different price point depending on the fun you want to have. Don’t forget that you must reserve your spot to enjoy this night out.

At The Canyons, the new Pendry Park City will host New Year’s Eve at their restaurant, Kita. Offering three-course or five-course prix-fixe dinner and champagne.  With two seating’s, perfect to pair with the Pool House Pre-Party and Après Pendry New Year’s celebrations. The Pendry Park City didn’t forget about the little ones, drop off the kids for their own New year’s celebration. From 6pm-12:30 am kids can do crafts, sing karaoke, dance party, group games and more. This is a drop off event for children ages 5- 12 years old. Reservations are required.

A very special dinner awaits you after your horse drawn sleigh brings you up Park City Mountain Resort to the Viking Yurt restaurant. The restaurant sits on the ski hill and welcomes guests into a gorgeous mountaintop yurt to enjoy a fine dining adventure. The yurt seats 34 guests and is a four-hour European style dinner. Nothing is rushed, all is cherished, and the dishes are to be remembered. Reservations are required.
