If you are a health foodie like Ali North, you will feel right at home at Fairweather Natural Foods. The Market at Park City is a great place to shop that is tucked away in a local shopping center near the heart of Park City. The Market supports a variety of local Park City vendors and offers many food options for the vegan, the carnivore, and everyone in between. A few items that you should keep an eye out for are Red Bicycle Breadworks, Auntie Em’s, Daily Rise Coffee, and Deer Valley’s own food products. If you love bread, run, don’t walk to get your own Red Bicycle Bread which is made fresh in store using local ingredients and sells out daily. The incredible smells are free. If you have a sweet tooth, Aunitie Em’s can fix that. Their cookies and pies are made with local wholesome and organic ingredients…yum! If you need a coffee buzz to be stocked in the pantry, get a bag of Daily Rise to get your caffeine fix for the day. This Utah based coffee company has been thriving and you won’t be disappointed with your morning cup o’ joe. Lastly, if you have skied at Deer Valley, you know their chili is world-famous and so are their cookies. They have made it possible to enjoy their favorites in the comforts of your home. For the chili to go you simply add in hot broth or water and let it stew away. What is a better memory maker than making homemade chocolate chip cookies and eating them by the fire after a perfect day skiing. Grab these premade mixes and you will be set for your après ski.
We have your nosh and pantry items covered, so let’s focus on the real fun, the cocktails and wine. It’s no surprise that Utah doesn’t sell liquor on Sunday. You can order drinks at a bar, and you can buy 5% beer, but liquor and wine are a different story. Here are the workarounds. While you are here in Utah, yes you must buy your liquor and wine at the State-owned liquor store, but we do have a few hidden gem spots around town where you can support local, and purchase liquor on Sundays. Yes, on Sundays you can still stock up!
High West Distillery has their saloon and general store in Old Town Park City. The general store is open daily from 11:00am to 9:00 pm. Stock up on the local whiskey to take your at home après up a notch.
Old Town Wine Cellars, located on Main Street is a local private label winery and they take pride in being “the official wine of apres”. They merge the mountain lifestyle Old Town has to offer with a passion of wines perfectly. Pop into their storefront and grab some bottles of Townie Rose and Mountain Town Red to make your dinner complete…yes, even on a Sunday you can stock up on wine in Park City!
If you are more of a beer connoisseur, you will not be disappointed if you decide to stop by Red Rock Junction. Red Rock Brewery is a Salt Lake City brewery that has won national and regional awards. Yes, you can get beers at the local grocery stores, but Red Rock Junction offers is the high point beers that you can only get at the liquor store or brewery. The Eliphino beer is a local’s favorite but be careful. The high point beer paired with the altitude is a combination you need to be aware of…you’re welcome!
